Overview
This document will go into detail on how to configure the ordering and purchasing spreadsheet grid for your specific needs. To view what each column means please refer to the ‘Spreadsheet Administration Legend’ KB article.
Spreadsheet Admin
By default, Savance has loaded all columns to be displayed in the order, return, and purchasing grid. The grid works like excel, by allowing you to freeze, rearrange, hide/show columns, and font settings.

To view this default go to Settings > Spreadsheet Admin

In the Administrator screen, the spreadsheet will default to ‘Savance Enterprise Default’ for all users and warehouses.

Before we assign specific warehouses and users let’s first begin by configuring the grid.

Make sure to select the ‘Order Type’: Quote/Order
Font Settings

To adjust the size and font, use the fields to enter the desired font size.

As you make changes within the fields you will see the font size adjust in the grid example.
Adjusting Row Height

Using the same fields you can also change the row height for both the header row and the order grid rows.

Enter the desired row height in each column, the larger the number the bigger the height.

Adjusting Width Columns

Next, you can adjust the column width and visible index of each column.

Just highlight the column header and use the width field or use arrows to adjust the width.
Rearranging Columns

To rearrange the columns in your preferred order just highlight the column header and use the left and right arrows to move the columns in your specific order.

To freeze columns in a specific order just highlight the column header and check the box next to ‘Freeze columns’. This will allow you to scroll over but the columns frozen will stay in view.
Hide/Show Columns Spreadsheet

To hide and show columns go through and select the column you want to hide then uncheck the ‘Shown Column’ box to hide the column.
- NOTE: If will not be removed from this view only in the order/quote view.
Renaming Column Headers

To rename a column header, double click on the header title and a Change Title box will appear allowing you to rename the column title.
Saving and Naming the Configuration
Go through and continue this process for each order type:

Quote/Order
-
RFQ/PO
-
Customer Return/RMA
-
Vendor Return/RTV
Once you’ve completed the configuration for all Order Types you can select ‘Save’ or you can select ‘Save As’ to rename this configuration specific for your business needs.
Activating Spreadsheet Configuration
After you’ve configured and saved each order type spreadsheet you are now ready to activate this configuration. NOTE: When making active changes to a spreadsheet it is best to do this after-hours and have everyone log out.
All User Configuration
To make your spreadsheet changes active for all users and warehouses select from the dropdown under ‘Column Configuration’ and select your newly added configuration.
Next select ‘Make this My Active Configuration’ and confirm the following message.
If you wish to make this the Sites Default select the checkbox.
Specific User/ Warehouse Configuration
In the scenario, certain users need a specific configuration i.e. the purchasing group. Make the general changes they need. Then have the user(s) go to the Spreadsheet Administrator page to set their preferences.
Select from the dropdown under ‘Column Configuration’ and select your newly added configuration.
Next, select the User from the drop-down
Lastly, select ‘Save’ or ‘Make This My Active Configuration’ to save the changes for this user.
Now, open your respective Quote/Order, RFQ/Purchase Order, CustomerReturn/RMA, or Vendor Return/RTV grid to see your changes.
